Start from any 2020 design layout

You export an existing layout from 2020 or have us build a custom one with your cabinets.

Stage 1

We build the geometry of the room, add the cabinets, appliances and lighting sources. Feedback is requested and an adjustments session follows. Significant changes are possible.

Stage 2

We add furnishings, props, textures, colours, and the door finish. You can really see the space come alive. Feedback is requested and an adjustment session follows. Moderate changes are still possible.

Stage 3

Final render and post-processing stage where the image is perfected for delivery. Only small changes are allowed at this stage. Color correction takes place on the final images and we output in formats requested.

What is the process?

Requirements for new projects

When defining requirements for new projects we need to know:

How many images are needed
What types of images (single cabinet on white background, single cabinet in lifestyle setting, full kitchen lifestyle, other type of space)
What door(s) are we rendering in
For full kitchens, a cabinet layout from 2020 is required (exported to DWG file type)
References – provide style references (Pinterest) and/or a mood board if something very specific is being requested.
File naming conventions
File specifications: default UHD resolution, 3840x2160px, TIF image – print optimised, JPG image – print optimised. Optional: JPG image – web optimised.

💡Note: by default we will use design elements (furnishings and props) from our library. We can use anything you want, but we need to know this from the beginning and there will be extra charges to model and prepare these objects to be integrated into the design.

Workflow review

Stage 1

ADDO 3D team will build the kitchen space from a basic layout, in clay (gray) materials. In this stage we define the cabinet geometry, validate that the SKUs used in design are actually available, along with accessories used (moldings, fillers, panels), lighting, camera position and room layout. Feedback will be requested and must be focused on the above elements. At this stage, we can make any type of modifications – this is the most critical feedback session.

Stage 2

Implement feedback from Stage 1. Then we will work with materials and colors, add furnishing items and stage props. Feedback will be requested. At this stage a moderate amount of modifications is possible. Note any colors discrepancies as feedback but know they will also be adjusted in Stage 3 as part of the color correction process.

Stage 3

This stage is for final rendering and post-production. This is where we do the final colour corrections (especially on the door colours). Relatively few changes are possible in Stage 3 as most feedback should have been implemented by now. The final render takes 8-12 hrs per image and we only do the final render once all the changes have been implemented and approved

Do you need me to send you a door sample so you can replicate it?

There’s no need to send us a door sample, a good quality photo of the door should be enough for us to accurately model it.

The photo should be in good lighting conditions, against a white background. If not possible, you can even place a piece of white paper next to it.

For maximum accuracy, we require a section CAD drawing of the door.

How soon will I see a preview?

Aprox 48h to send a preview and get as much feedback as possible for the next stages.

Turnaround time for a typical kitchen design is 3-5 days.

What do I get as part of your service?

A large collection of 3D assets in our client library that can be used without additional cost of buying specific new 3D services.

Unlimited revisions for product accuracy

First phase of the rendering – until the door style/geometry is accurate.

For the door finish/texture – this applies to all 3 stages, except stage 1 – where the image is in clay/gray materials.
